If You Miss The Ambassador East Hotel, You Can Still Buy Its Furniture

When it comes to the new Public Chicago, Ian Schrager's glorious new hotel, there's not much we miss about the old spot, the Ambassador East. But loyalists, or people looking for some decor with history, can still get a piece of the hotel--by buying its old furniture.

Fort Pitt Furniture Outlet in Chicago specializes in selling off old hotel furniture (mostly from four and five star hotels) and we spied a few pieces from the Ambassador East on their website. Hmmm...yeah, we'll take the new furniture instead.

Still, if you need to decorate your space, and want some luxury flair for less (some armories are going for $79 and a Hyatt 8-piece room package starts at $199), Fort Pitt might be the way to go. The only problem is they are in Chicago and you have to visit their warehouse to buy the pieces. No online orders.
