The idea is, we've been told, to have performances happening throughout the day, and to turn the place into a "living room for the neighborhood". So whether you stop by for a mid-morning coffee break, or in the evening to meet some friends, there will likely be 'something' going on.
Interested artists should send their applications to this email address. Include all relevant info like performance history, bio, clips, and photos. The program still seems to be taking shape as we speak, so there is obviously room for a lot of maneuvering and new ideas. Before you know it, you'll be serenading those beautiful fishies with your music (or theater...or poetry...)!
What do you think of this initiative? Will it help out a characterless nabe? Would you go see a performance at the Flatiron? Let us know your thoughts below!
