We had a chance to do St. Ermin's private tour of Westminster Abbey, which was fantastic. At £25 per person (normal entrance charge is £16), you have your own guide and if lucky get to see a few of the areas that are roped off to normal visitors.
Lastly, but certainly not least, Accor has designated Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated actress Kristin Scott Thomas (The English Patient, The Horse Whisperer, I Loved You So Long) as its brand ambassador.
We were able to sit down wih Ms. Scott Thomas and talk with her about her travel experiences. Some of these are already captured in the MGallery guide, which feature her travel notes, memories and perspectives on various destinations.

Spending a lot of time in hotels, a distinct identity and an inspiring, individual environment are key things she looks for. Some of her favorite hotel amenities? An iPod docking station in the room, good lighting and a full-length mirror in the bathroom, with the offer to pack/unpack luggage as the ultimate luxury.
Soo...where she would like to go next? Songtsam Retreat at Shangri-La, an MGallery Hotel (of course) located 3,000m above sea level in a remote valley in China, overlooking one of the biggest Tibetan temples in the world. Can you pack us along with you?
Full Disclosure: HotelChatter stayed at St. Ermin's as a guest of Accor Hotels, but all opinions are our own.

The new logo is a big improvement from its predecessor , which took the "M" that we know from Mercure, Accor's mid-market brand. The new "M" fits the upscale segment and focus on individuality and design much better in our opinion.
