The Old Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas Will Re-Open as The Ravella on February 11

This week, most of the Vegas action is on the Strip, what with CES and AVN in town. Then there's that fancy new hotel that just opened.
We thought that The Cosmopolitan would be the last hotel opening we got to see in these parts for a long, long time--but wait! There are still hotel doors opening--out in Henderson, where Dolce's Ravella at Lake Las Vegas debuts on February 11.
A quick refresher on this property: it used to be the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas, but it closed last May. Enter Dolce Hotels, who have rebranded the property, promising "a much more contemporary experience" than the Ritz.

Changes include a revamped lobby to be known as the Firenze Lobby Lounge; a new restaurant in the Medici Café and Terrace; and privileged access to the nearby Village Lake Las Vegas.
Ravella has 314 guest rooms and 35 luxurious suites, starting with Kings (above) and Doubles which both measure 486 square feet. Both of those room categories are available on February 11 for $135 a night with the Opening Special. Nevada residents get an even better deal, at $89 a night.
Rates at Vegas's other no-really-totally-authentic-Italian-palazzo The Venetian start at $199 a night the same weekend.
