Like the bath amenities in our room, the oils used for the massage come in the signature Cowshed 'moods': Grumpy Cow (uplifting); Lazy Cow (soothing); and Knackered Cow (relaxing). We went with the latter, since it was 8 p.m. and we were hoping that our treatment would send us straight off to la-la land.
Even though the massage involved some hair-pulling--which did hurt a bit but in the best way possible--it was just what we were looking for. It's only 30 minutes long but is a good choice for shaking off the day's tension or easing a stress-induced headache. And at $65, it doesn't break the bank or make you feel guilty about spoiling yourself.
If you need more than your head and shoulders pummeled into submission, regular 60-minute Cowshed massages start at $140. And while we didn't opt for one this time, we love the fact that Cowshed has a Blow Dry Bar, to combat the tropical frizzies. Blow outs start at $45, or can be added onto other treatments as well. You can peruse the full spa menu here.
