Gregg also pointed out that the SLS South Beach Twitter feed (@SLSSouthBeach) has no tweets to its name. The same emptiness can be found on the hotel's Facebook page as well.
As for that opening date, SLS hotelier Sam Nazarian apparently tweeted back in August that SLS South Beach would open in March 2012 with a Hyde nightclub and restaurant from chef Jose Andres.

To be fair (see? we're already making good on our New Year's resolutions), that is quite a bit of time to finish a hotel, especially since the structure is already built. But these pics are not encouraging. Hopefully, 2011 will start to see some actual work on the hotel's interior.
Anyone got any scoop on what's going on with SLS South Beach and when we really may actually be able to spend a night here? Let us know!
Coming up tomorrow--retro snapshots of the Ritz Plaza! You'll be shocked at how much it used to cost to stay there!
