The competition for the latest hotel technology is fierce these days and not wanting to be left behind, The Lanesborough in London is adding more tech offerings to their guestrooms (they already feature in-room laptops) by installing a Mac mini unit in every guest room instead.

The system is easy to use and provides improved access to TV shows, movies, photos, and the web. Our favourite feature is fact that you can view the latest movies free of charge and we all love a freebie. Let’s just hope they don't follow Marriott who ditched the porn last week. Where’s the fun in that?

The system will also include new application iLife which features iPhoto, iTunes and lots of games. And if you’re still bored after all of that you can try doing some work, the unit is compatible with Microsoft and USB sticks. No more excuses for the boss!

The hotel isn't the first one to offer Mac Minis in the guestroom--The Citizen Hotel in Sacramento did that last year--but it certainly bumps up the hotel tech cool factor for The Lanesborough. Oh and in case you were wondering, regular old internet access is also free at the hotel. Brillz!
