The Omni Fort Worth is Ready for Some Football (And So Is Everyone Else)

Last week as we waited to see who would be heading to the Super Bowl, the host hotels in the Dallas-Fort Worth area--Omni Fort Worth and Omni Mandalay--told HotelChatter they were getting excited for the wraps that would be going up on the hotels' exterior with the Super Bowl XLV logo. And today, we've got a snapshot of that.

This is the Omni Fort Worth which will be taking arrivals from the Pittsburgh Steelers team on Monday (their friends and families will arrive on Thursday.) Looking good!

As the room hunt in the Dallas area continues (and with prices rising by the minute), hotels elsewhere are finding their own ways to get in on the Big Game action.

Out in Vegas, our little sibling, VegasChatter.com, has the skinny on Where to Watch Super Bowl XLV and also where to Party for Super Bowl XLV. Room rates are actually quite reasonable for Super Bowl Weekend so don't get suckered into paying more than you have to.

At the Ritz-Carlton Denver, they are hosting Elway's Big Game Day Celebration at their Elway's Downtown restaurant on Sunday, February 6 from 2pm to 9pm. Best of all, it doesn't have a ritzy pricetag attached.

Drinks start at $3 for draft beers, $5 for select wines and $7 for select martinis while Chef Robert Bogart will serve up Green Chili Nachos, Flight of 3 Wing Varieties, Smash Burger Sliders and even Guinness Floats. Prizes will be awarded for the "best dressed sports fans" and guests get complimentary parking.

For the folks in Pittsburgh who couldn't swing a trip to Dallas they can do a staycation of sorts at the Fairmont Pittsburgh which is offering up a Suite Seven Tailgate Package. Available on Super Bowl Sunday, the package includes overnight accommodations for up to 12 guests in a one bedroom suite and four additional guestrooms, a 52” in-suite flat screen TV with Bose surround sound and a ton of tailgate snacks ranging from sandwiches and wraps to German pretzels with mustard sauce, assorted chips and a cheese and fruit platter. (Alcohol is probably extra or BYOB.)

The offer is only good for February 6 and costs $2,007 for the night. Reservations must be made by February 3 and advanced purchase is required. Interested? Call Michael Dougherty at 412-773-8926 for more info.

Meanwhile, the lucky guests who managed to snag a room for next weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas (the hotel is now sold-out) will be waited on by a roster of Football Concierges who will provide information on the game, team stats, road traffic to the stadium, driving routes and more. Guests will also get a complimentary in-room gift of a luxe cobalt blue throw blanket commemorating the Big Game.

Jealous 'cuz we'll be watching the game from our coach with our blankie from Target. Next year!

HotelChatter will be keeping track of hotel rooms and their availability up until the Big Game. Know of a hotel that's still open for Super Bowl? Tell us where right here. And be sure to watch this list of hotels below for their availability!
