'B' Ready for B Ocean Fort Lauderdale's Opening Today
Today's the big opening day for B Ocean Fort Lauderdale, the hotel brand that substitutes as many B's for be's as is humanly possible. So get ready for an onslaught of "B our guest" and other marketing gimmicks.
That's what we dislike about it, but here's what we're liking about the Fort Lauderdale hotel, the first of the B Hotels brand and its signature property: All 240 rooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean; free WiFi is provided; rooms come with "B Treated," some goodies; and there is a patio bar called Quench with an infinity pool.
Here's what also sounds interesting-- Rooms come with "B Humane," destination-specific endangered species—which in Fort Lauderdale's case is sea turtles—and "curve rooms" that have floor-to-ceiling windows along a curved wall.
If you want to scope it out for yourself, the hotel is slashing 15 to 25 percent off its rates right now, so you can get a room for as low as $239 a night. Just B sure to report back to us.
