A perfect example of the tiered discounts is what they've got going with the AC Barcelona Hotel. Stay two nights for $259, or choose the 3-night package for $349 or 4 nights for $439 or 5 nights for $545 or 6 nights at $655 or 7 nights for $759. Keep in mind that it includes daily breakfast for two, two welcome drinks and a guaranteed room upgrade. The only problem seems to be that they charge for hotel WiFi.
Checking the hotel's website, we found two nights in their lowest room category for 260 EURO ($330) without breakfast or drink or upgrade, and 960 Euro ($1,221) for the 7 nights without the previously mentioned perks. Thus, it's pretty obvious that VoyagePrive has the upper hand in the discount game here.
Rest assured that we'll give this site a try on one of our upcoming trips and report back on how it went. For now, if you're sufficiently intrigued, you can get access to VoyagePrive by clicking here to sign up.
Oh, and this isn't the only new private sale site to hit the hotel world this week. TripAdvisor has just launched its own private-sale site, SniqueAway, which will start offering high-end hotel stays at properties such as the Greenbrier Resort and Reefs Bermuda from September 20.
We'll have more on SniqueAway once we've seen the discounts they'll be offering. In the meantime, we're off to build a wall-size flow-chart to keep all these private-sale sites straight ...
