Lady Gaga Surprised Diners and Sang at The Plaza Hotel Last Night

Late-night diners at The Plaza Hotel's Oak Room restaurant got a hairy surprise yesterday, when Lady Gaga sauntered in to give an impromptu performance. She was surrounded by security of course, and clad in a bodysuit made of hair, Gaga jammed with one of her musician friends, Brian Newman, who regularly entertains on Wednesday evenings at the Oak Room.

Now, we're not talking about 1Oak, the trendy nightclub, but The Plaza's Oak Room, a pricey and conservative establishment that isn't known for celebrity appearances and random events such as this. We wonder how the crowd felt, and how many elderly guests retired up to their rooms rather than listen to "Bad Romance" unplugged.

Apparently when Gaga arrived, the Oak Room tweeted to their 115 Twitter followers that she was there. We bet there are many, many sad Little Monsters out there today wishing they had been following last night!
