The fact that every object under the sun seems to get its own National Day can be annoying. But not when it's National S'Mores Day! Held annually on August 10—yep, tomorrow—this is one frivolous national holiday we can get behind.

For anyone on summer vacation, this is a most convenient holiday. It's an excuse to light up the campfire and indulge in as much marshmallow, chocolate and Graham cracker goo as your stomach can handle. But if you're nowhere near a campfire tomorrow, you can always head to the Alexis Hotel in Seattle and join in their S'Mores celebration.

The hotel's Library Bistro/Bookstore Bar is where the action is—chef Tiffany Layco will be cooking up s'mores and handing them out to the public outside the hotel between noon—1pm.

And what could be better than a s'more you don't have to cook yourself? A free s'more, of course!

There's no mention of a per-person limit, but if you are enthusiastic about celebrating this national holiday, we can't imagine that the Alexis folks would turn you down when you ask for ... well, you know.
