Hotel Sezz Says It's The New Place to Be on the French Riviera
If Paris Hilton’s recent sojourn in St Tropez put you off the place for good, you might like to know about the latest place to open in Eurotrash central. The Sezz St Tropez has opened its doors (mercifully in time to avoid a Hilton visit) and is the latest Design Hotel to grace the Riviera.
It’s a tiny hotel, with just 37 rooms (called cocoons, bungalows and villas) and a restaurant, spa and (sigh) champagne bar and the aim is relaxation – the hotel has apparently been inspired by the lavender fields of southern France, and the owner has promised it will be “a place full of grace and tranquility.” Umm, good luck matching that with the champagne bar.
Having said that, it does look pretty delicious with sharp-looking buildings, lilypads in the pool and a funky color code for the rooms (beiges and browns, with wooden paneling). So we would, ideally, very much like it to stay tranquil.
What might actually save this one? The fact that it’s in a “wooded park” outside of town, and you’ll need the shuttle to get to the port itself. Hopefully that might keep the douchebags at bay. That and the prices - rooms next weekend start at EUR650 ($860).
