Priority Club Members can Earn Loyalty Points through TopGuest

Visit Hotel Indigo's lobby to score some Priority Club points.

Priority Club members have another way to rack up loyalty points: sign up for TopGuest. When you check into an InterContinental Hotels Group property using a location-based service like Foursquare, you will receive 50 Priority Club points. So you can take in points without even staying overnight at a hotel.

TopGuest syncs location-based services like Foursquare, Twitter and Gowalla, so that when you do a GPS check-in into a partner hotel, you can easily collect points for free stays and other perks.

This deal is a coup for TopGuest. The company previously paired with the Standard Hotels, Soho Grand and Tribeca Grand, but IHG marks its first global brand. IHG's 4,400 hotels include InterContinental, Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn properties. IHG previously experimented with Gowalla for a loyalty promotion that was a flop.

The Priority Club points can be redeemed for rewards such as hotel stays, flights or dining and shopping certificates.
