After a long, leisurely dinner in one of the private dining rooms at Andaz Wall Street's Wall & Water last night, we couldn't even fathom the concept of dessert. We'd already sampled plates of charcuterie and cheeses, and feasted on Roasted Young Chicken with peas, fava beans and morels stew, Grilled Wild Striped Bass with broccoli raab and a delicious Grilled Skirt Steak with red onion, green tomato salad and baked sweet potato ("so much better than real potatoes," according to one person in our party.)

We know, right? Totally stuffed! But then we saw this vision in a row of ramekins. A dainty lineup of six different desserts which had us forgetting we were full in about two seconds flat.

The apple pie and berry crumbles were popular choices, and of course, the good ol' chocolate cake rated well. But after some careful thought, and diligent comparison between each dish, we're going to have to break out of the box here and say that the mango ice cream was our favorite of all.

Call it clinging to summer if you will, but it was so light and fruity and creamy and refreshing all at the same time. We're even ranking it above the rocky road, which is a tough but honest call. Sometimes you just can't go past a simple scoop, y'know?

Had a great dessert lately? Don't forget to share all the sticky, sweet goodness with us! Dish on your favorite hotel restaurant desserts in comments below.
