During the farmer's market, these ladies-who-lunch will have to make way for farm vendors.

People in search of fresh fruits and veggies in Chicago usually head to Green City Market. But the Trump Chicago International Hotel and Tower offers a sky-high grocery option. The hotel will host its first farmer's market September 2 on the 16th-floor terrace. So you'll peruse produce and get a nice view of the city at the same time.

Trump Chicago is jumping on the market-at-the-hotel trend, joining Manhattan's Cooper Square and Andaz Wall Street. If this one-time event goes well, Trump Chicago may make the market a regular happening at the newly opened River Walk next year.

Chef Frank Brunacci of the hotel's Sixteen restaurant invited his favorite local purveyors and farmers to hawk their goodies. Among the offerings: Nordic Creamery's cheese; Katherine Anne Confections' handmade truffles; Nichols Farm's produce; River Valley Kitchens' giardiniera; and Seedling Fruit's smoothies; and Ivy Uppercrust’s pies. You'll also get a canvas Trump tote bag as a reward for attending the early morning market (7 to 11 a.m.).

If you want to try before you buy, Brunacci will cook a breakfast buffet using ingredients from the participating farmers' stands. The buffet will be available at Sixteen from 7 to 11 a.m. for $35.
