Five Hotel Deals For Fashion's Night Out In New York City

If you missed it last year, don't worry—Fashion's Night Out, Anna Wintour's attempt to boost fashion retail business in New York City, is back and even bigger this year.

The big night—a series of parties and open-house events in stores and boutiques—is scheduled for September 10, but many hotels in the city are running promotions either side of that date.

NYC & Company, the city's tourism authority, has worked with at least 40 New York hotels to offer style queens special Fashion's Night Out packages, with the deals ranging from discounted room rates and complimentary cocktails to store gift cards and Fashion’s Night Out clothing and canvas tote bags.

Here are five that go beyond the basics:

FASHION 26: A Deluxe King Guest Room for two, with breakfast, a welcome amenity, free in-room movie, fashion magazine, tote bag, insider tips on the best shopping in Manhattan, and a late checkout.

AFFINIA MANHATTAN: In addition to the room, this deal includes a Dogeared tote bag, Dogeared charm necklace, fashionista book, two cocktails and a donation to NYC Aids fund. Also available at the other Affinia Hotels in NYC.

HUDSON HOTEL: The Fashion Weekend package includes a complimentary drink per person upon arrival at either the Hudson Bar, Library Bar or Sky Terrace, one complimentary continental breakfast per stay and a 2 p.m. late checkout. It also covers author Pamela Parisi's Garment District Diva Trek, a private shopping tour of style central, Seventh Avenue. The tour is on September 10, 2010, 5–9 p.m., and includes champagne and hors d’oeuvres.

THE JAMES NEW YORK: This one is a pretty simple deal—10% off the best available rate, free WiFi, complimentary in-room breakfast and upgrade, plus 20% off at Buckler stores. But what could be more stylish than staying in the newest hotel in town?

MANDARIN ORIENTAL: The NYC Stylist Package includes a night in a Deluxe room or higher and a private shopping session with stylist Stacey Mayesh (for up to eight hours!). There is a questionnaire consultation prior to arrival and a Mercedes car service on hand for the shopping spree. Bonus: This hotel is right near Fashion Week's new home at Lincoln Center.
