You too can look as elegant as Kym the Surf Guru

We’re so familiar now with tanning butlers and sleep concierges that we thought we’d heard of every wacky hotel service around, but here’s one we’re not sure we’re familiar with – a surf guru.

The Anantara Dhigu Resort in the Maldives has called in an Aussie bum instructor called Kym the Surfer (real name: Kym Everett) to ride their waves every day. And he’ll teach you how to hop on board, too.

The damage? Tuition: $90 an hour, with a minimum of two hours required for surf virgins. Accommodation: a 30 percent off deal at the moment (bookable here) will get you bed and breakfast for $392.

But a Point Break moment? (Possibly) priceless.
