Is the WiFi free? Does the gym have good machines? All these things get noticed when checking into a hotel, but what about the atmosphere of the place—specifically the art on the walls or on the floor? All this week, we'll be highlighting properties around the world that do their artwork right, and the specific pieces you should stare long and hard at when next you drop by.

Today: Dean Street Townhouse's sexual wallpaper by Yeo.

When we were at London's Dean Street Guesthouse, we noticed that they had proudly hung a calligraphied "quote" by Lindsay Lohan in their restaurant, but what we should have been looking at is the wallpaper. Apparently it's quite scandalous.

Fast Company investigated the supposedly floral and leafy wallpaper to discover that the leaves bear sinful fruit: slightly hidden vulva images. The designer of the hotel restaurant, Martin Brudnizki, designed the wallpaper with Yeo as an ode to the Soho neighborhood's brothel history, and the Dean Street Townhouse itself used to be quite the swinging club.

Now all Dean Street has is a cheeky reminder of the past with this visual trickery. See it a close-up of the naughty wallpaper here (slightly NSFW).

Note: You can also find this scandalous wallpaper in the ladies at the Soho House West Hollywood. Any other Soho House properties with naughty wall coverings? Let us know.
