$995 Puts You in The Plaza's Pretty Pink Eloise Suite
It's been almost six months now since we heard that New York's infamous Plaza Hotel was extending their Eloise shop into a hotel suite of the character's very own, and now we've got pictures of the finished product. While the Eloise slumber party package is $3,450 per night, a stay in the special Eloise Suite is going for the budget rate of $995.
The designer of this pink palace of everything pretty is Betsey Johnson, and she credits her 4-year-old granddaughter as the nspiration for the project. Thus, Betsey has kitted out the suite with "frilly dresses in the closet, candy on the counters and a giant pink bed to jump on." In other words, it's a dreamworld for little girls.
Now, OK! Magazine tries to sell you on the fact that the Eloise suite is perfect for adults as well, namely bachelorette parties. We don't know about that, unless the bride-to-be is a fan of zebra-stripe carpet and can fit into a little girls' size dress. Instead we can imagine the well-heeled daughters of New York and Moscow's elite to nag their mommies and nannies for a birthday party in the Eloise suite.
For those who'd rather not cough up four digits for the pleasure, there's always the Eloise store and tea time in the Plaza's basement.
