A W person smiling at our pain
Wwwwwwhat? We were narked enough when a tipster told us that the W Leicester Square had put its opening date back from June to October, but last night we were perusing the amusing Facebook page belonging to the hotel, only to find "Mr W"* breaking the news – via a status update of all things – that the opening has been pushed back again. To February 14.
This is how he put it:
You know how you feel when you're in a rush to get out the door and you haven't had quite enough time to perfect your look? No one notices or anything but you don't feel quite right. That's how Mr W is feeling just about now. So I'm holding off opening the doors to my shiny new hotel on Leicester Square for a little ...bit longer. You know it'll be worth the wait--all the very best things are.
He followed up by commenting on said status update:
So when do I open the doors? Valentine's Day. Feel the love!
No, Mr W. We feel the love (or in W speak, "wuv")for you, but not for a V Day opening. We’ve used this before and we’ll use it again – it’s just woeful.
