Outrigger Resort Opens Three Weeks Early in Noosa

One thing we love more than a hotel opening? A hotel opening early. So we give a big thumbs up to the folks at the Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort & Spa Noosa for doing just that. It opens today three weeks ahead of schedule. If we were down there in Queensland, we'd slap you on the back and buy you a beer, Outrigger.

We're big fans of this part of the world. It's two hours north of Brisbane, and is one of the prettiest coastal towns in the country. Noosa has always been for the more well-to-do travelers, but the arrival of Outrigger confirms its five-star cred.

Perched on top of a hill, the resort promises stunning views of Laguna Bay and there's even a private hilltop lookout if you're not content to gaze out the window of your suite or villa.

One more thing we love almost as much as hotels opening early? Opening specials. The Outrigger Little Hastings Street has an opening rate of USD $242 a night in a one-bedroom suite, including breakfast for two. The deal is valid until December 22, with no minimum stay required.

We also did a quick check of the resort's online rezzie system for rooms this Sunday night (it does take two 'days' to reach Australia, after all) and found a one-bedroom suite for just USD $173.
