Ooh, what do we have here? Yep, it's another new NYC hotel now taking reservations! This time it's The Nolitan, which—if the reservation system is to be believed—will open on November 1.

Even though we'd hoped it might be sooner, this is very exciting news indeed. Ever since our walk-through of the construction site earlier this year, we've been intrigued by what The Nolitan will bring to the ever-expanding downtown New York hotel scene.

And judging by these photos from the hotel's new website, it seems that they're already hip to ...

... the peekaboo bathroom trend! But in a much bigger way than those hotels which do it with clear glass or a window from the bathroom to bedroom. Who needs walls anyway, eh? Here the tub is right there next to your, um, desk.

And how much will it cost to soak in that tub and look out over Nolita? For the first date that is bookable—November 1—rates start at $436.50 a night. That's an Advanced Booking, non-refundable rate for a Cityscape Queen. There is no mention of whether the tub is in this room category, or the Cityscape Balcony rooms either. But both are around 235 square foot, which may explain why the tub doesn't get its own room.

Best Available Rates range from $485–545 a night, which does sound pretty steep to us, although that does put The Nolitan in line with its neighbor, The Crosby Street Hotel.

What do you think? Would you pay $400+ to check out downtown's latest hotel come fall? Are you pro-peekaboo tub? Share all thoughts Nolitan with us in the comments below.
