When Will The Pool At Trump Soho Open?
Today may be, oh, about 20 degrees cooler than it has been for weeks in New York, but for the most part the summer has been hot as balls. Which is just one of the reasons we're itching to know when the pool at Trump Soho will open.
We got all exited when a tipster told us they'd heard it was opening this weekend, but the official word today is that no, it's not open yet—and if there is date scheduled, they're not telling us.
It has to be soon, though—the hotel is advertising for staff at Bar d'Eau, which the Craigslist ad describes as "a seasonal lounge that overflows to a landscaped pool deck."
They haven't advertised for bocce experts, but we sure hope that the bocce court is still part of the plans for this 7th-floor spot. What could be more fun than sipping a margarita, playing a little petanque and waving to all the cars heading for the Holland Tunnel down on Varick Street?
