Here we are, still in the dog days of summer with lots of hotel openings to get through before the kids go back to school. But one we're happy to daydream about on a hot stinking day is the debut of the Four Seasons Denver, which will open on what should be a crisp, cool fall day: November 13.

The hotel is now taking reservations for its opening, with rooms starting at $285 a night (including breakfast) on that opening Saturday night. (If you're a football fan like us, you should know that the Broncos play a home game at Invesco Field the next day, against the Chiefs.)

If you'd rather wait until the week of Thanksgiving, you can snag a room for even less. The Introductory Rate is available for stays from November 22 through January 31, 2011, with rooms from just $180 a night. Not bad for a Four Seasons.

And while we admit it feels ridiculous to be thinking about turkey and pumpkin pie in the middle of July, we feel compelled to tell you that this rate is still available for the night of Thanksgiving.

Also? The hotel's steakhouse, EDGE Restaurant has a stone fireplace. Toasty!

OK, you can now resume your summer Friday. But don't say we didn't prepare you for the fall.
