Christmas in July Brings a Contest for Free Hotel Rooms on Actual Christmas

It's that time of the year again--Christimas in July time! Typically the weeks around July 25th mean one thing and one thing only: you'll get tons of glossy inserts in your newspapers advertising blowout sales. However, this year the Miyako Hybrid Hotel in Torrance, CA has another idea; they're holding a Facebook contest to win stays at their hotel in December. A winter weekend in southern California for free at this LEED silver certified hotel? Yes, please.

Every day from now through July 30, the Miyako is asking people to have a conversation with them on Facebook. They'll ask questions like "what's your favorite holiday dish?" or "what's the best gift you've ever received?" and everyone who comments is entered to win a stay at the hotel during the peak time of the real holiday season.

Winners will be announced on August 2 on their Facebook page, and there'll be one winner per day. That's pretty excellent odds, if we do say so ourselves.
