The Limes Hotel Rooftop Bar Likes a Bit of Moby

After an afternoon in "The Valley"--Fortitude Valley in Brisbane--we were feeling a bit thirsty, so we headed to the top of local hotspot, The Limes Hotel. There, we were greeted by some friendly Aussie bartenders and this song lyric by Moby.
We had forgotten how much Aussies like Moby and his likeminded chill-out tune pals, but after sipping on a kiwi fruit cocktail here, we were taken back to sun-splashed lazy afternoons spent inside a 'schooner' (a glass of beer). Drinking is a national pasttime in Australia, and with gorgeous nighttime views of Brissy, this is a great spot to do it.

The rooftop bar, popular with locals, is open from 5 p.m. to midnight Monday to Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. to midnight on Sundays.
There are small plates available and an extensive bar menu including the most popular cocktail, the Passionfruit and Vanilla Mojito.
On the other side of the building (facing Brisbane City) there is an open-air rooftop cinema with screenings every Monday night. Films are usually cult favorites, like next Monday's selection, Kill Bill 2.
