And this is a drawing we did in 5th grade about a vacation we took with our family. Oh wait. No, sorry that's the Waikiki Edition's Private Sunset beach.
What we're not digging is the $28 valet parking fee or the off-site parking fee of $1 per hour. And that this is opening in Hawaii. (Ho-hum.) We are also a little bummed out by the sketches that the hotel has on the website. Could they not computerize a few shots to give us a more realistic idea of what this place will look like? Sure we know what it looks like on the outside, but we're dying to see the interiors.

The website says "Entrance"but your guess is as good as ours here.
Nevertheless, we're looking forward to seeing this hotel FINALLY open, after so much anticipation. And it looks like we won't have to wait that long for the second Edition (heh.) Marriott also announced the opening of Istanbul Edition which is set for later this year.
This property actually sounds way more like what we expected from a Schrager-Marriott partnership. There will be a Cipriani restaurant on-site, an ESPA spa, private check-in, luxury retail shops and a screening room for first-run movies and private screenings. Now we're talking!
We'll be spending the rest of the day reveling in the latest news from Edition. But if you've got any scoop about the Waikiki or the Istanbul Edition, let us know in comments below! Or if you wanna be our Deep Throat Edition, send us an email!
