The Peninsula Chicago Gets In the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup Spirit

Heading to Chicago anytime soon and hoping to snag a cheap hotel room? Sorry to say it, but at this time of the year, you'd be lucky to find a 3-star for under $250 per night. June is prime Chicago travel time, and it's been made even worse with the Stanley Cup Finals happening. The Chicago Blackhawks are playing the Philadelphia Flyers to see who's best at hockey, and it's been a tight several games already. They're tied currently, with the next game on June 9.

To welcome Blackhawks fans and get into the spirit, the Peninsula Chicago, considered the best hotel in town, has outfitted their iconic lions with custom jerseys. As you can imagine, we weren't the only ones snapping photos of the stone beasts, and everyone seemed surprised that a hotel as classic as The Peninsula would be this outgoing. Way to be awesome, Peninsula Chicago!
