We were pumped for the planned July opening of the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Miami, but we'll have to wait 'till October to hit up the new hotel. Yup, the JW Marriott Marquis has suffered its first delay.

The reason for our disappointment isn't because we were hoping to run into the Jersey Shore cast creepin' all over town. It's because we want to play around in the hotel's billiard room, virtual bowling room, virtual golf facility with an indoor putting green and a massive 10,000-square-foot NBA-approved basketball court.

Okay, we might just really plant ourselves in front of the 50-inch high-definition TV in the rooms instead. But one thing we're definitely looking forward to is the opening of French master chef Daniel Boulud's db Bistro Moderne. It's the second outpost of Boulud's French bistro/contemporary American restaurant; the first db Bistro Moderne is in Manhattan.

Also set for an October opening is Hotel Beaux Arts Miami, the JW Marriott Marquis's more upscale hotel-within-a-hotel.

Prices for the properties haven't been revealed yet, though the JW Marriott Marquis will be a Marriott Rewards Category 6 hotel, which requires 30,000 points for one night, while Hotel Beaux Arts is a Category 7, which means you'll have to earn 35,000 reward points to sleep here.
