To mark the 50th anniversary of the London Heliport, Von Esson Luxury Hotels will launch their first London hotel. Hotel Verta, set to open on September 12 will be the first integrated hotel heliport in Europe.

Von Esson are calling it “London’s vertical gateway” and for those rich enough to afford it, the hotel will provide helicopter travel with a private heliport entrance.

Arrivals at the hotel can check-in to one of the 70 boutique style rooms spread over four floors. The rooms designed by Andrew Onraet, will be ultra modern with a timeless twist. In house entertainment includes the Patrisey Restaurant, serving modern British cuisine, Vertilon bar with stunning views of the River Thames and the Falconbrook Spa complete with vitality pool and thermal cabins.

Departing guests can extend their journey in the VIP departure lounge and the VVIP lounge, which according to the brochure is the “place to see and be seen”. Business guests are well catered for with a conference room for up to 120 guests, seven private meeting rooms and WiFi throughout the hotel.

No word on room rates yet but if you can afford private helicopter travel, you won't be concerned about what these hotel rooms cost.

Check out the hotel’s website for more information and some rather dodgy press shots.

nice

It's great that this hotel has conference facilities too. The reason I stay at some swish serviced apartments is because of the brilliant conferencing. Not many great hotels have great business facilities and vice versa!
