Catch the Final Serve for the Stafford's Wimbledon Tea

Now that pretty much nobody in London cares about the World Cup anymore, it’s time to put those big screen TVs to another use (than hurling abuse at). At the Stafford Hotel, that use would be screening Wimbledon. How very genteel!
But far better than the big screen is the Lawn Tennis Afternoon Tea that they’re serving up with it.
No, it’s not as cute as the ones at the Royal Horseguards and the Dorchester, but at least you’ll have enough savory and fruity stuff here to balance the sugar.
Not only do you get scones and cakes like chocolate torte and “raspberry and flower petal croux”, but you’ll also have sandwiches and strawberries and cream, just like at the real Wimbledon. Oh, and a glass of Lanson champagne which is, apparently, what the champions at Wimbers sip on.
At £43.50pp it’s a little on the pricey side, but then, who’s to quibble with the choice of champions? Just lie back and think of Centre Court. Quickly, though - it's only being served till July 4.
