Around 75 people showed up to mingle with Starwood execs and get into the groove with dancers from the Hip Hop Culture Club and Harlem Hospital Dance Leadership Program. (That would be the folks getting down in the photo up top—although we'd love to say that this is how people show up for job interviews in New York City...)
Only around 25 will make the cut, but they'll join an energetic team that will be greeting guests at check-in with an "Aloha," rather than a boring old "welcome" or "good morning."
The Harlem hotel will be the first Aloft for NYC, with a Brooklyn outpost set to follow in October.
They're not taking reservations yet, but we'll let you know as soon as room rates are available.
