While the rest of the world is fully in the grips of World Cup fever, London and the snobbier bits of Britain have a side fascination: Wimbledon. And to see watch Venus Williams and Roger Federer run up and down the courts in the world's oldest and most prestigious tennis championships, you can't just go sit at a bar and cheer like with World Cup games. Wimbledon is proper, and you'll find tennis-themed afternoons teas around the city.

The best of them all is at the 5-star Dorchester Hotel at Hyde Park, where even the teacakes dress up in their tennis whites—or rather take the form of tiny green courts and tennis balls.

Served on The Promenade at the hotel, the Wimbledon Afternoon Tea costs £48 per person and includes themed pastries like the "citrus court, raspberry drop and coconut smash," as well as traditional sandwiches, scones, strawberries and cream, a glass of champagne and your choice of fine teas. You only have until July 4 to bite into these cutest of tea treats as Wimbledon ends then, but tea at The Dorchester is an experience any time of the year really, tennis cakes or no.
