Sister property, Pavillion De La Reine

If you're still agonizing over whether to book that trip to Paris or splash out on an iPad this summer, stop hurting your brain. Wait until September to head to the City of Light and you can do both. That's when the Pavillon des Lettres opens in the 8th arrondissement. The boutique hotel will have just 26 newly remodeled rooms—each of them home to an iPad. C'est magnifique, non?

The hotel is being transformed from a two-star property into the new four-star incarnation by designer Didier Benderli, who also waved his wand over The Pavillon De La Reine in the Marais.

The iPads here are not just a rote way of seeming up-to-the-minute, either. They fit into Pavillon des Lettres' overall literary theme—each room will represent a letter of the alphabet and be dedicated to a writer associated with that letter.

We also hear that the new hotel will have two top-floor suites with amazing views of the Eiffel Tower and the Grand Palais. Which sounds lovely and all, but did we mention there will be an iPad in the room? (If anything could keep us from roaming the streets of Paris mindlessly, this could be it.)

No room rate information is available for the Pavillon des Lettres yet, but we expect they will be in line with those at Pavillon de la Reine, which start at 400 euros.

Or, if your brain only functions in Apple math mode, around the same price as a new iPad.
