Free Gourmet Fries at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago on National French Fries Day

Forget the Fourth of July. We’re looking forward to celebrating another July holiday: National French Fries Day. To honor the timeless deliciousness of the fried potato sticks, we’re going to head to the Ritz-Carlton Chicago's deca Bar for free fries.

The bar will give out complimentary housemade fries with the purchase of a cocktail on July 13, which is National French Fries Day, and July 14, which Bastille Day.

These won’t be some ordinary french fries. The hotel bar uses Ohio potatoes to make its hand-cut fries. Flavors include truffle and duck fat fries made with smoked sea salt, or french fries made with lemon salt, fresh oregano and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano. Sounds like they beat the ones at McDonald’s.

We know it’s bad, but we love french fries so much that we might just go to the 12th-floor deca Bar on both days to get the tasty snacks. Hey, the holiday only comes once a year. We wish you a happy French Fries Day as well.
