The Doubletree brand came in a woeful second place on our list of Worst WiFi Hotels this year. We imagine the Financial District crowd to be pretty demanding about WiFi, so perhaps Doubletree will consider this when planning the amenities for the new Stone Street hotel? (Otherwise, suits in town for business may be more inclined to bunk at Andaz Wall Street—where WiFi is free.)
So far there is no info on room rates or when reservations open, but we can tell you that this will be a 40-floor hotel, on an otherwise cute, historic, cobblestone street. In the spring the restaurants on Stone Street put tables outside and all of a sudden the Financial District becomes an attractive, happy place to be. Magic!
The new Doubletree will have its own new restaurant and bar, plus a fitness center and the typical Doubletree amenities including Neutrogena bath products.
But about that WiFi ...
