Five Hotels for a Last-Minute Memorial Day Getaway

We can hardly believe that May is practically over but we're quite happy about that because it means we have a three-day weekend coming up! Yup Memorial Day is upon us and while HotelChatter is taking a break from hotel-hunting, we know that some of you may have some last-minute travel lust. If so, check out these Five Hotels for a Last-Minute Memorial Day Getaway.

1. Andaz Hotel San Diego: Pool Party Sundays begin this Sunday at 2pm and will run through September. Local guest DJs will spin tunes, and complimentary massages and mani/pedis will be offered by local boutique Spa Velia.
Rates this weekend start at $249 for an Andaz queen. Looking to just stay one night? Pick Sunday when rooms drop to $199.

2. Tropicana Las Vegas: Our little baby sibling, VegasChatter, recently stayed in the brand-new Paradise Tower rooms and lurved it, especially because they got an unexpected upgrade to a two-bedroom suite.
Rates averaged about $139 a night on Expedia for the new rooms which is far cheaper than the hotel's own site.

3. Omni Hotels: The Memorial Day package gets you a discount whether you stay one night or three nights. And a free drink! A one-night stay gets you 10 percent off, two nights give you 20 percent off and three nights takes 30 percent off the room rate. 4. Morgans Hotels: Travelzoo has partnered with several Morgans Hotels to offer summer discounts through October 31, however you must book by tomorrow, May 24. We like The Shore Club deal which includes one-level room upgrade upon arrival, two drinks, and get this--free WiFi.
Room rates at The Shore Club this weekend were available for $225 a night for a partial-ocean view room.

Four Seasons Hotel Chicago: Not only is it Mem Weekend but it's also the weekend that "Sex and the City 2" hits the movie theaters. And the FS Chicago has created a "Suites and The Second City" package just for the occasion. You and your girlfriends* will be put up in an executive suite, given a $50 shopping gift card per day; a complimentary makeover at Bloomie's; a $100 daily spa credit and wait for it, an in-room visit from the Martini Man. He and his traveling Martini Cart will mix up martinis in your guestroom for a very private cocktail hour.
Rates for the Suites and the Second City" package start at $625 a night. It's actually sold-out Friday and Saturday BUT it is avail on Thursday, which is when SATC actually premieres as well as Sunday and Monday.
