The facts, in case you need them, are as follows: Miguel is 19, and is a college student studying accounting. He was not discovered at the recent open casting call for a new Tanning Butler, but handpicked by events company Boucher Brothers, who runs the program in conjunction with the hotel.
Miguel started his new gig just two weeks ago and told us that he has the best job in the world. In case you're unfamiliar with the responsibilities of a Tanning Butler, it's very simple: the job involves Miguel patrolling the Ritz-Carlton pool deck and beach, and offering his lotion and oil-rubbing services to guests who take their tanning—or sun protection—seriously. He uses Hampton Sun oils (the ladies love their unique scent, says Miguel) as well as an SPF 55 lotion spray, and his considerable charm to keep everyone burn-free.
There's also a hydration spray that he whips out at the end of his shift to cool everyone off. We don't know about you but we could use a spritz of that stuff right about now...
You can find Miguel at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach Fridays through Sundays, during "prime sun tanning hours", around 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
