Hotel Veritas To Open in Cambridge on May 23

Doesn't this look cozy? What we're looking at here is the Simple Truth Lounge inside The Hotel Veritas. And just like your term paper, it's running a tiny bit late—not too much, of course, professor. The boutique has gone from a potential May 17 opening date to a May 19 date, and now apparently, May 23 is the big day.

We're certainly keen to have a new place to pop into when wandering around Cambridge pretending we're smart, and the Simple Truth Lounge looks like it would be most inviting on a crisp fall evening with a glass of vino in hand.

Want some of the design details? The fireplace is made from Belgium white marble, and the lounge has 13-foot-high windows, and a 19th century French limestone floor. There's also a patio to enjoy over the summer, although it only seats ten.

If you want vodka, you better love all things MA, because The Simple Truth only serves Massachusetts-made vodka, gin and rum from Berkshire Mountain Distillers—as well as a range of New England beers including Harpoon IPA and Pretty Things Jack D’Or. As for the food menu, it's is all about the cheese—and charcuterie—from Formaggio Kitchen.

Rates at Hotel Veritas range from $195 to $695 a night.
