The Pool Restrooms at The Raleigh Are Papered Up the Wazoo

Is there anything worse than using a restroom and finding the toilet roll totally bare? Well, you don't have to worry if you're hanging by the pool at The Raleigh. Andre Balazs may no longer be in the house, but you will find plenty of toilet paper right where you need it.

This is our first visit to The Raleigh since Andre decided to focus on Courtney LoveThe Standard hotels instead, and so far if there are major differences we haven't seen them.

We'll bring you more of our Raleigh observations next week, but after a relaxing evening spent by the iconic Esther Williams-endorsed pool, we couldn't wait to tell you about our pool restroom discovery. It may just be the most prepared (like Boy Scout prepared) stall we have ever seen.

In case you were wondering, we were also happy with the poolside service (nice mojito) and the low-key vibe of the folks getting their sun and swim on. Small groups of 20- and 30-somethings, a few Aussie gals reading, and two delightful kids frolicking in the water and taking snaps with their grandparents all made pleasant pool-fellows.

And thank god they had enough toilet paper for us all!
