Sheraton Brooklyn Opens Tomorrow for $189 a Night

While we have to wait a few more months for the Sheraton Tribeca to open, there will be another Sheraton in the NYC-area for you to check-into and it even opened a little early--The Sheraton Brooklyn.
Opening tomorrow, the newest hotel in Brooklyn (which is slowly getting a better hotel scene) is currently offering guests bonus Starpoints for SPG Members and free wireless. If you stay here for four nights, you can earn even quadruple Starpoints. Um, does anyone in Brooklyn want us to come visit for four days?
However, the hotel's location is not that exciting as it's adjacent to the downtown Brooklyn’s MetroTech Center, which houses several of the borough's colleges and universities as well as some random shops. But the hotel is also within reasonable walking distance to Brooklyn's Boerum Hill and Brooklyn Heights neighborhoods. And we've just learned that the Sheraton will also be located next to the Aloft Brooklyn when that opens in October.
The guest rooms are Sheraton standard with a Sweet Sleeper Bed, work desk with ergonomic chair, iPod dock, Bliss amenities and a 42" HDTV. Interestingly, robes and slippers are available on a "request basis."
This Sheraton will also have club floors which give guests access to the Club lounge where they can pick up complimentary continental breakfast, afternoon hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages. But best of all, we found rooms tomorrow for just $189 a night and that includes bonus Starpoints and free WiFi. Given that this is high season for NYC hotels, under $200 and free WiFi is mighty refreshing right about now.
