Come July 19, You Could Be Swimming in Gansevoort Park Ave's Rooftop Pool

We've decided on our Top Ten New Hotel Rooftop Bars in New York to visit this summer but that isn't the end all, be all for NYC rooftops. The Gansevoort Park Avenue is expected to open in July with a massive tri-level pool and rooftop space of which we've just obtained a rendering for.

As you can imagine, the star of the rooftop will be the Plunge Bar + Lounge which will have a 40-ft heated indoor-outdoor glass-enclosed swimming pool and have killer views of the city. The One Group, best known for the celebrity fave restaurant STK, will serve "shareable plates" and gourmet snacks like lobster rolls, kobe pigs in a blanket and a PB and J ice cream sandwich. Yummmm.

Rates at the hotel, which will have 249 guestrooms, an Exhale Spa, the Aselina restaurant and a hair salon from Cutler, start at $395 a night. Room reservations are actually being taken right now on the hotel's website starting on July 19.

And in case you feared the hotel would pull a W Hollywood, you can rest assured that the hotel pool will be open only to guests during the day. It will, however, open to the public at night and we fully expect it to be THE hotel hotspot for the rest of the summer (which means you may want to pack earplugs too.)
