Oh, to be a fly on the wall at the Eventi Hotel this morning, as the staff dissect their very first weekend in business. The hotel opened on Friday and judging by the online rezzie system, it was a full house on Saturday and Sunday. As we wait for the first guest reactions to start rolling in, we've got our hopes up for Eventi's next big 'reveal'—their iPhone app.

While there's no official word on when the app will debut or what exactly it will allow guests to do, it kind of sounds like having your very own hotel concierge that fits in your pocket.

The few details we picked up on our preview tour of Eventi included the fact that the app will be free to download, and will be a way for guests to order room service or other hotel amenities without, you know, having to actually talk to a human being.

So if you're out and about in NYC and start to feel hungry, you can whip out your iPhone, order yourself some dinner and time your return to your room accordingly. You will also be able to send other requests so your room is prepared just the way you like it. (We sense a few "dim the lights", "run a bath" messages for anyone getting lucky on a date.)

We also hear that the restaurant and lounge areas will have iPod touches so that you can order a drink without having to wait for a server to show up at your table.

But our favorite (so far unconfirmed) part of the app is the ability for non-guests to order services for friends staying in the hotel. Have the concierge send flowers to your mom, or a bottle of champers to your crush—this could be fun!
