Hilton Kicks Off its Worldwide Summer Getaway Deal (With Free Breakfast!)
Hilton Hotels wants you to make a "great" escape with them this summer and while Hilton is not typically our go-to choice, the deal is very attractive.
Hilton has put nearly all of their brands on sale for stays from May 28 to September 6 and they are throwing in free breakfast daily.
"The Great Getaway" has officially launched today and guests can save up to 30 percent off at more than 2,800 participating Hilton Hotels if they book their stay before July 15.
How much you save depends on the brand you book. The Doubletree brands have up to 30 percent off their best available rates. Hilton hotels have up to 25 percent off while Hilton Garden Inns, Conrad Hotels, Waldorf Astoria Hotels, Hampton, Hilton Grand Vacations and Homewood Suites are at 20 percent off their best available rate. Typically, Embassy Suites hotels do not participate in this deal but there are some that will give 20 percent off.
We did a search for Chicago the weekend of June 11-13 since we're considering a trip there and these are the rates we found:
· Palmer House Hilton: $164.25 a night
·
Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile: $192 a night
· Conrad Chicago: $284 a night.
Hmm...we'll play around with that a little more but the deal is good at participating Hiltons worldwide so you can get a bit of savings for your European vacation. We actually found quite a few appealing prices (similar to the ones above) at some Hiltons in London that we're seriously considering booking, once we get our flight details squared away.
The biggest catch in the fine print department is that the stays are totally unrefundable. Full prepayment is required at booking, meaning your credit card will be charged for the FULL stay. There will be no refunds and no credits issued so you have to be absolutely certain you will complete this trip. There is also a seven-day booking notice required.
And if you aren't a member of Hilton's loyalty program, HHonors, be sure to join up after you book as all HHonors members will receive standard points and miles for their stays.
