The W Hoboken's Green Getaway Will Recycle Old Cell Phones
All this week we will honor Earth Day by putting the spotlight on eco-friendly hotels. Got an Earth Day Hotel suggestion? Let us know.
It looks like the W Hoboken is trying to clean up New Jersey's rep. Instead of being known as the place that spawned Jersey Shore and the most scandalous Real Housewives ever, the hotel will promote it as an eco-friendly state.
The hotel will celebrate Earth Day all month long with its Green Getaway with the W Hoboken package. When you book a Green Getaway room, it'll include two eco-tinis, complimentary Hybrid valet parking and free local and toll-free phone calls when you donate an old cell phone.
All old cell phones received will be donated to the American Red Cross, Phones for Haiti, a cell phone donation program to provide disaster relief in Haiti. All of the phone’s value will be contributed to the American Red Cross and qualifying phones will be refurbished and supplied to aid groups working in the hurricane-ravage country.
The package, which is available through April 30, starts at $239 a night.
