The Mallorca Rocks Hotel: The Newest Place to Party, Puke and Pass Out
What happens when you drink too much--you post blurry pictures of your own hotel on the hotel's website.
Ever heard of the Ibiza Rocks hotel? If not, that’s more than possibly a good thing – it opened a couple of years ago on the island as a more rock n roll hotel than the other designer/house musicky places on the island, and lured in punters with live performances from bands.
We always assumed it was a bit grubby, but it’s obviously done very well, because the Fiesta Hotel Group, which owns IR, has announced it’s opening a sister property, the Mallorca Rocks Hotel which will, unsurprisingly, be on the island of Mallorca, in grotville Magaluf (ugh).
Although it’s slated to open in May, it’s from June 6 you’ll want to be there, as that’s going to be the first gig (The Kooks and Zane Lowe off of Radio 1). On 5 July, Calvin Harris will be performing, on 26 July Dizzee Rascal (love), 19 July has “special guests” (read: unconfirmed) and 6 September will be Pendulum.
The rooms - all self-catering apartments - look nice enough but remember, it’s the experience you’re paying for – an experience like staying in a Hard Rock (not the Hard Rock in Vegas).
