After all the NYC hotel opening hoopla lately, it's time to head over to Philadelphia, which is gearing up for a long-awaited hotel opening of its own: that of Le Meridien Philadelphia on Arch Street.

The Starwood hotel was meant to open last September but after that delay, we had a June 30th target date—so let's look on the bright side and appreciate that the hotel is opening "early." And the reason for the rush to open before summer? Philly.com puts it down to Penn graduation, also in early May, "when every decent room in town is booked."

One way we know that this date is solid? Local blog Philly Chit Chat got a sneak peek inside the hotel recently, simply by staring through the windows and being invited in. From these shots of the lobby and one of the guest rooms, it looks like the hotel is in good shape to hit May 6, no?

There's more good news over at the hotel's online rezzie system—we found a King room (which includes free WiFi) for opening night for just $129. Get in before the grads!
