The Distrikt Hotel Addresses Drilling Noise and Other Service Glitches

Yesterday, our hotel spy, Myra Ellen, told us about the drilling that interrupted her stay at the Distrikt Hotel as well as a few other glitches. The hotel had told us that they would accommodate any guests who complained about the drilling noise with a new room on a different floor. But today they wanted to address the other issues that our hotel spy had. Here is the Distrikt's full response:
The Staff and Management of Distrikt Hotel are distressed that we were unable to exceed the expectations of this guest as we have with so many others. While we strive to greet every guest at the door, we are disappointed that this and the check-in process was less than acceptable by our own standards.
Missing amenities are equally distressful, and there should indeed have been a Frette bathroom on the back of the bathroom door. The noise is an unfortunate circumstance of work being doing on the outer west wall of our building. We delay the work until 10:00 a.m., and it does not usually involve drilling, but in this case it did, and we responded in the only way we could at the time, with a room change.
Myra Ellen was offered a new room but it came too late as she was getting ready to check-out. We're sure the Distrikt is going to be super alert now to the in-room amenities and with the check-in process but we say you should bring some Advil just in case.Have you stayed at The Distrikt recently?
