Jetblue Partners with Hilton for TrueBlue Points. Yes, Hilton

JetBlue has done some pretty cool things lately from Cheap Tweets to Sample Sales, $10 fares and giving away free stuff on the streets in NYC. But we're finding it hard to get excited about the latest news regarding their TrueBlue loyalty program.
The airline has teamed up with Hilton Hotels and the HHonors program. The good news here is that you can earn TrueBlue points everytime you stay in a Hilton-branded hotel, from Waldorf-Astoria hotels to Homewood Suites. It also works in reverse, meaning you can take your HHonors points and use them for JetBlue travel.
Right now, the program is allowing members to earn both HHonors points and one TrueBlue point for every $1 spent during the double points launch promotion from now through July 15. Plus HHonors has no blackout dates or capacity controls so it's a little more friendlier than other hotel deals.
But Hilton, really?
JetBlue is all about fun in the air. They should partner with a hotel brand that is equally as fun, or at least as equally hip to social media. We know that several individual Hilton hotels are great about Twittering and Facebooking but as a company, Hilton is leagues behind their competitors in interacting with guests via social media.
And we can't remember the last time we got really excited to stay at a Hilton. Just saying. But maybe we'll consider it now that we can earn double TrueBlue points. Looks like Hilton teaming up with JetBlue is already working!
What do you think about Hilton's partnership with JetBlue? Which hotel brand would you have prefer as a JetBlue partner? Let us know in comments below.
